The River, Delta and Coastal Morphology Division studies the behaviour of Bangladesh's rivers, its delta, and its coastline. It analyses erosion and accretion, channel migration, sediment transport, and the morphological response to engineering interventions.
Findings inform dredging plans, bank protection, and resilient design for infrastructure built on and along the country's dynamic river systems.
