The proposed “Reconstruction of Rajshahi Central Jail” project aims to modernize and expand the existing correctional facility by increasing inmate capacity and improving living and operational facilities. The project is being implemented by the Department of Prisons and the Public Works Department (PWD) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Bangladesh. Located in Rajshahi District, Rajshahi Division, the project will support improved prison management, security, and institutional services through upgraded infrastructure. The estimated project cost is BDT 501.53 crore, with implementation scheduled from July 2024 to June 2027.
